Brian Eno is nothing new, but I felt this album needs to be posted. ‘Another Day on Earth’ came out in 2005, and was Eno’s first vocal album in about 25 years.
I stole this from my step dad’s cd collection when I was 16 and it mesmerized me. I can’t claim to understand anything technical behind the music, but whatever he is doing hits you like an airplane takeoff at sunset and soothes you like a mug of hot milk. It’s both delicate and delicious. A little like imagining your brain to be made of incredibly precise rainbow-coloured clockwork.
Whatever similes come to mind for you, listen and enjoy.
